The National Council Meeting of the Secular Franciscan Order of New Zealand will be held at St Francis Retreat Centre, Hillsborough Road, Auckland.  
The council meeting will begin with morning prayer at 9.30am on Saturday 20 May and conclude at 3.00pm on Sunday 21 May.
A delegate from each fraternity is welcome to attend.  An accommodation form and fraternity report form are available for download on the member login page.

The National Elective Chapter was held at the Franciscan Friary on the weekend of 10 and 11 September.  It was our pleasure to have Mary Stronach OFS Vice Minister General (CIOFS) in attendance.  It was a weekend of encouragement, having us pray, discuss and plan the future of the OFS in New Zealand.  A working paper on the Vision, Priorities, Goals and Actions for the next three years was prepared and endorsed by the National Council.   
The new National Executive will serve the OFS in New Zealand for the period 2022-2025, with the mission of aspiring to attain the priorities and goals of the 'Vision Document'.

Auckland Secular Franciscans gathered together in fraternity to celebrate St Francis' feast day on the Feast of the Transitus 4 October.  Mass at Holy Cross Parish was celebrated by Bishop Michael Gielen and concelebrated by Fr Sebastian and Capuchin Friars.  See HERE for article.
